an effort began as a London-based residency founded around narratives — a space for West Asian artists to explore ideas through dialogue, research, and making. Between 2020 and 2024, the residency hosted artists whose practices centred on storytelling, belonging, and cross-regional connection.

The initiative is now entering a new phase.

As an effort transitions into a foundation, its future form will continue to support artists and creative exchange while expanding its scope to include research, residencies, and exhibitions.
