HUGO LAMI
Hugo Lami’s work looks into technology and energy, evoking the dependency on our devices and social media to connect with each other. His sculptures and installations investigate the hardware of our technological evolution while his paintings take apart the content of softwares that are supposed to improve our lives. His An Effort residency will include an artist talk and an open studio installation which gives a unique insight into his practice.
Hugo Lami is represented by Neon Art Gallery. He has worked on commissions for Sustainability First and the UK Power Networks. He holds an MA from the Royal College of Art and was shortlisted for the 2021 Ingram Prize.
He was selected for the residency for his unique interpretation of societal interaction with technology.
